Runners Should Already Be In Preparation For The Annual St Pats 5K 8K Races

The Bay Area Runners Club recently announced details concerning the upcoming annual Al Kayner's St. Patrick's Day Races. This year's event will be the 36th annual and has become a staple of Midwest runners and is a perfect way to celebrate the return of another beautiful Midwest Spring.

The 8K, 5K Run and 5K Walk will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2009 at 11:45 AM.

Youth Leprechaun Runs held on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. (Bay County Community Center)

Do not forgot to visit the Annual Fitness Expo on Saturday, March 21, 2009 - 10:00am to 3:00pm (Bay County Community Center) Vendors Including; Sporting Goods, Running gear, shoes, smoothies & local merchants. (Also location for late race registration and pick-up for race packets)

Timing for the race is monitored by Gault Race Management. This is a chip scored race using Chrono Track timing. Up until a few years ago this allows your timing to start once your foot crosses the start line, opposed to the shot gun start, which makes it more accurate with a line up of runners/walkers that is usually a block wide long. Results can also be checked at www.gaultracemanagement.com or www.runmichigan.com
