Runners Got An Early Start
Saturday at Pig Gig--Dow Corning 5K Run/Walk

Nearly 200 Participated In Annual Race

Temperatures heated up quickly on the River Walk for Nearly 200 Runners/Walkers who participate in the annual Pig Gig Dow Corning 5K Run/Walk early on Saturday morning.

Ann Gasta, Director of the Race was pleased with the turn out and said the number of participates was up from last year.

Runners and walkers started at the boat launch area at Vet's Park and circled the river walk ending inside the pig gig near the family stage, where winners were announced and awarded.



(Above and Below Left) Overall Male Winner Mo Love, 27, of Saginaw, was the first in sight capturing the time of 16:53.64 (Below Right) Overall Female Winner Jessica McKee, 33, of Freeland ran in with the time of 22:14.28









Gasta, President/CEO of Mid-Michigan Wellness Foundation who is the Race Director also participated in the 5K Run placed first in her age group with the time of 22:32.48 21
